January 18th is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday
January 23rd is March For Life
On January 22, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a presidential proclamation designating the third Sunday of January (or close to that) as National Sanctity of Human Life Day.
Pastors, churches and life organizations across the United States use this day to bring awareness to the attacks that are daily waged against human life through the abortion industry.
One of the best ways we can protect unborn lives is by bringing into the light the darkness of abortion, and supporting local Pregnancy Help Organizations who daily reach women and families with messages of hope and life.
We will nurture a culture of life in our community by strengthening families with tangible pregnancy needs, equipping them to parent with hope, and offering Christian mentorship to give them lasting support that will impact the next generation.
It is our prayer that we will be able to provide a peaceful environment for women to make empowered pregnancy decisions by Confirming the pregnancy via free ultrasounds, Creating an educated action plan, and Connecting them with a Compassionate mentor in their community.
Ultrasound technology provides a window for mothers and fathers to connect with their baby for the first time, and see the truth of life in the womb. Did you know 1 in 2 abortion determined women will choose life after seeing their baby via ultrasound? This is why it is vital to provide free ultrasound services to every women that will walk through our doors.
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139 13-14
According to the Medical Science Monitor, 79% of post abortive women said they did not receive counseling on their other options.
Next Steps plans to help our clients understand all of their options, and create an action plan together with one of our caring volunteers. We pray that these women and men will feel educated, equipped, and confident that they are making the best decision for their families.
We envision connecting expectant mothers with a christian mentor, to possibly be the most important aspect of Next Steps For You. We know that life change can happen when we entrust these one on one relationships to the Lord. We are excited to see how God uses our volunteer mentors to pour into the lives of women and families walking through an unplanned pregnancy.
